Norfolk is famous bird watching country, with nature reserves, marshes and creeks home to a huge variety or birds including ducks, geese, harriers and herons. Close to home we have the Norfolk Wildlife Trust Centre at Cley with its new education centre overlooking the marshes and slightly further afield the Norfolk Broads.

Cley Spy at Glandford boasts a huge array of birdwatching information and equipment for the enthusiast. Forests and heathlands abound with way marked nature trails and offshore, there’s the seal colony at Blakeney, reachable when the tides are right.

Foxley Wood, a 6000 yr old Natural wood is home to many song birds and various flora & fauna

Pensthorpe is an award winning mix of nature trails and conservation project

From sea fishing to crabbing on the Quay at Blakeney there are fishing opportunities for all.  Check out Norfolk Sea Fishing at Brancaster for organised trips or just take your rod down to Weybourne or Salthouse.

For those more interested in Coarse Fishing, there are several well stocked waters in the area from established estate lakes, to commercial fisheries and everything in between. For estate lake fishing Felbrigg Hall, Gunton and Blickling all provide opportunities.
